Iran Greco-Roman Wrestling Team Champion of Asia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Greco-Roman team won the title of the Asian Wrestling Championships for the 16th time on Monday.

In the competition, held in Astana, Kazakhstan, Team Melli claimed the title with 196 points.

Kyrgyzstan finished in second place with 166 points and host Kazakhstan came third with 160 points.

Iranian wrestlers won five gold medals, two silvers and one bronze.

Pouya Dadmarz in 55kg, Iman Mohammadi in 63kg, Nasser Alizadeh in 87kg, Mehdi Bali in 87kg and Amin Mirzazadeh in 130kg won five gold medals in the competition.

Amin Kavianinejad in 77kg and Sajad Imentalab in 72kg claimed two silvers, while Alireza Mohmadi won a bronze in 82kg.
