Representatives of 65 Countries Participating in Iran Expo 2023: TPOI Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said representatives of 65 countries are taking part in the 5th Export Potential Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran dubbed “Iran Expo 2023”.

Speaking on the sidelines of Iran Expo 2023, Alireza Paymanpak said that his organization has defined various programs in line with the promotion of trade ties and activation of economic diplomacy of the country.

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs defined a comprehensive program six months ago, he said.

He added that more than 1,200 persons including traders, economic activists, chairmen of chambers of commerce, ministers, and authorities pertaining to the foreign trade from 65 countries, including Germany, Belgium, Serbia, Venezuela, Brazil and Mexico, and regional countries including Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia as well as Eurasian Economic Union’s member states such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan, have attended the exhibition in order to see the high potentials of more than 700 competent Iranian companies.

Paymanpak went on to say that more than 600 expert-level Business-to-business (B2B) meetings will be held by the joint chambers of commerce on the sidelines of the expo. 

It is expected that between $1 billion and $2 billion worth of trade agreements will be inked in the Iran Expo 2023, which will lead to the promotion of trade and economic relations of Iran with various countries.

Medicine, medical equipment, polymers, industrial equipment, handicraft products, etc. are showcased in this edition of the exhibition, Paymanpak added.
