Iran Beats S. Africa at 2023 World U-20 Water Polo Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated South Africa 16-15 in the 2023 World Aquatics Men’s U-20 Water Polo Championships on Thursday.
Iran had previously defeated Argentina 15-13 and Peru 12-6 and lost to Australia 17-3 and Brazil 17-9.
Iran is scheduled to play Argentina on Saturday for the 15th place.
The round-robin Championships are contested by 20 nations, including the world’s heavy hitting water polo nations Serbia, Spain, Hungary and the US.
The championship started on June 10 in Bucharest/Otopeni, Romania and will finish on June 17.
