William Jones Cup: Iran B Loses to Rain or Shine Elasto Painters
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran B basketball team lost to the Philippines’ Rain or Shine Elasto Painters 98-90 in the 2023 William Jones Cup on Wednesday.
Ange Kouame paced Rain or Shine with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 4 assists, while Andrei Caracut finished with 19 points.
Amir Hossein Azari put up 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Alireza Sharifi and Amir Hossein Yazarloo scored 15 points each for Iran.
Iran B started the campaign with a 63–69 win over Qatar but lost to Korean team Anyang KGC 84-72 and Chine Taipei’s Republic of China Blue 80-63.
Iran B will play Japan U-22 on Thursday.
