Iran Blind Football into 2023 IBSA World Games Quarters
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s blind football team booked a place at the 2023 IBSA World Games Sunday night.
Team Melli edged past Morocco 1-0 courtesy of Morteza Karimi’s goal.
Iran lost to Brazil 1-0 in its opening match in Group D and was held to a 1-1 draw by Mexico in its second match.
Iran will meet Colombia in the Games’ quarterfinal round.
The football competition is being held from August 14 to 21 at the Bournbrook 3G pitch (Birmingham University Campus) in Birmingham, England.
