Iranian Para Powerlifters Aminzadeh, Sayadi Win Gold, Silver: Dubai 2023
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Ahmad Aminzadeh and Mahdi Sayadi won a gold and a silver medal respectively at the 2023 Para Powerlifting World Championships on Friday.
Aminzadeh finished first with 255kg and the silver medal went to Sayadi who lifted 246kg in the +107kg weight category.
Jamil Elshebli won the bronze medal with 237kg.
Iranian Para Powerlifters Ali Akbar Gharibshahi and Saman Razi had won a gold and a bronze medal respectively in the competition.
The competition has brought around 500 elite powerlifters (including 56 juniors) from 80 countries together at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City.
