2023 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship: Iran Beats Hong Kong
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Hong Kong 3-2 (25-20, 19-25, 20-25, 25-5, 15-10) in the 2023 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship on Monday.
Iran will play Mongolia for 9th-12th place on Tuesday.
Team Melli Banovan lost to Japan 3-0 and India 3-1 in Pool B and defeated the Philippines 3-2 and Hong Kong 3-2 in Pool H.
Running from August 30 to September 6, the championship features 14 teams divided into four groups. Each team faces every other team in their group once, with the top two teams from each preliminary round group advancing to the top eight classification round, forming two new groups of four.
The competition is being held in in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
