Women Rowers Earn Second Silver in 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s rowing team won its second silver medal in the 2022 Asian Games underway in Hangzhou, China.
On Monday, Iran’s Nazanin Malaei, Mahsa Javer, Zeinab Norouzi Tazehkand and Fateme Mojalal claimed a silver medal in the women's quadruple sculls at Fuyang Water Sports Centre with a time of 6:51.82 minutes.
China won the gold with 6:42.84, and the bronze medal went to Vietnam with 6:54.84.
Iran’s Mahsa Javer and Zeinab Norouzi Tazehkand had won a silver medal in the women's double sculls on Sunday.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
