Iranian President to Inaugurate DHT Unit in Isfahan Refinery
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Diesel Hydrotreating (DHT) Unit at the refinery of Isfahan in central Iran will be inaugurated in a ceremony attended by President Ebrahim Raisi and Oil Minister Javad Owji on Friday.
The DHT Unit’s current production capacity stands at 16 million liters of Euro 5 diesel per day.
The unit’s operation helps prevent the emission of 300 tons of sulfur per day and enhances Isfahan Refinery’s gas oil competitiveness in the global markets.
In addition to the launch of the DHT Unit, the construction operation of Isfahan Refinery’s gasoline and propylene production project as well as petrochemical units will start today, SHANA reported.
The gasoline production unit will produce over 8 million liters of gasoline per day when it becomes operational. Gas oil and liquefied gas will be also produced in this unit.
The refinery’s petrochemical units will produce polyether, polyurethane, methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), bunker fuel, gasoline, and diesel.
