President Praises Iranian Knowledge-Based Firms' Role in Oil Projects

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi appreciated the significant role that around 150 domestic knowledge-based companies have played in the completion of a major diesel oil processing project at the refinery of the central city of Isfahan.

Speaking in the official inauguration of Isfahan Petrorefinery's Diesel Hydrotreating Unit on Friday, President Raisi thanked all people involved in the large national project, and highlighted the significance of the management of production and consumption of oil, gas and petrochemicals in the country.

"The management of these two sectors will lead to the production of high-quality products, the elimination of dissatisfaction and the boom in the export of petroleum products, the income of which will strengthen other sectors,” he said.

Pointing to the Isfahan Petrorefinery’s output of 120,000 barrels of clean fuel per day, the president said improving the quality of production in the oil industry is one of the main goals of the government, which will eliminate pollution and improve the health of the people.

Raisi further appreciated the Ministry of Petroleum’s plans to collect flare gases in refineries, stressing the need to reform the consumption pattern in the country.

Calling for efforts to strengthen the connection between the academic centers and industries, Raisi said the capacities of 150 domestic knowledge-based companies have been employed to carry out the Isfahan Petrorefinery project.

He also pointed to the significant amount of job creation and the use of efficient human resources in this great national project, noting that such successful projects create hope in the country and disappoint the enemies.
