Iran’s Vahid Barimanlou Wins Silver in 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Majid Vahid Barimanlou won a silver medal in kurash in the 2022 Asian Games on Saturday.
He lost to Uzbekistan’s Artyom Shturabain 8-0 in the final match of the men’s -66kg.
Barimanlou had defeated rivals from Vietnam, Chinese Taipei and Tajikistan.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
