Iranian Woman Canoe Sprinter Kazemi Claims Silver at Hangzhou
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hediye Kazemi of Iran won a bronze medal in the Women's Kayak Single 500m in the 2022 Asian Games, underway in Hangzhou, China on Tuesday.
China’s Li Dongyin won the gold medal with a time of 1:58.931 while Stephenie Chen of Singapore was second in 2:00.074.
Kazemi finished in third place with in 2:00.635 minutes.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
