EU Exports over €2.2 Billion Products to Iran in 7 Months: Eurostat

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Statistical Office of the European Union dubbed “Eurostat” in its latest report said EU countries exported more than €2.2 billion worth of products to Iran from January to July 2023, showing a 6% decline compared to the same period last year.

Eurostat put the total value of trade exchanges between Iran and the 27 European countries at €2.678 billion in the first seven months of the current year, registering a 10 percent slump compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Iran and the EU countries exchanged €2.994 billion worth of products from January to July 2022, Eurostat added.

The EU countries imported €475 million worth of products from Iran from January to July 2023, recording a 25 percent decline compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

They had imported over €639 million worth of products from Iran between January and July 2022.

Eurostat added that the EU member states exported €2.203 billion worth of products to Iran in the first seven months of 2023, showing a six percent decline compared to last year’s corresponding period.

They had exported €2.355 billion worth of products to Iran from January to July 2022.
