Iran-Turkey Trade Exchanges Exceed $3.9 Billion in 9 Months: TURKSTAT

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) said Iran and Turkey exchanged more than $3.9 billion worth of products in the first nine months of 2023 (January-September).

The latest statistics released by TURKSTAT indicated that the trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey from January to September 2023 reached $3.907 billion, registering a 20 percent decline compared to the same period last year.

Over $4.881 billion worth of products had been exchanged between Iran and Turkey from January to September 2022.

The report indicated that the Turkish export of products to Iran from January to September 2023 did not show any significant change.

Turkey had exported over $2.236 billion worth of products to Iran from January to September 2022.

It imported $1.684 billion worth of non-oil goods from Iran from January to September 2023, showing a 36 percent decline compared to the same period last year.

This is while Turkey had imported $2.645 billion worth of products from Iran from January to September 2022, TURKSTAT added.
