Iran-Uzbekistan Trade Hits $240 Million in 7 Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The value of trade exchanges between Iran and Uzbekistan during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 to October 22) has reached $240 million, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

In the 7-month period, Iran exported more than 279,000 tons of products, valued at $189 million, to Uzbekistan. The Central Asian country has exported over 34,000 tons of goods to Iran, valued at $51 million.

According to IRICA, Iran had exported more than 214,000 tons of products, valued at $150 million, to the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022.

In 2022, Uzbekistan exported more than 19,000 tons of goods to Iran.

In late May, Iran and Uzbekistan inked two cooperation documents to increase trade exchanges to $1 billion in the 2025 Outlook Plan.
