Heynen Shortlisted to Take Charge of Iran Volleyball Team
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Belgian coach Vital Heynen has been shortlisted to take charge of the Iran national volleyball team.
Heynen has recently served as the head coach of the Germany women's national team and Nilüfer Belediyespor.
Vahid Moradi, caretaker of the Iran Volleyball Federation, has confirmed the news.
Italian coach Angelo Lorenzetti, Roberto Piazza, Vladimir Alekno, and Saeid Marouf are the other candidates for the job.
Iran's chances of reaching the 2024 Paris Olympics are slim due to poor results in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Nations League and the Olympic qualifiers.
