SCO Secretariat in Beijing Lowers Flags in Tribute to Kerman Terror Attack Victims

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) paid homage to the victims of the devastating terrorist attack in the Iranian city of Kerman by lowering its flag and those of its member nations to half-staff in a symbolic gesture of solidarity and mourning.

The Iranian Embassy in China shared the news, highlighting the solemn act of respect towards the martyrs and victims of the tragic terrorist incident at the martyrs’ cemetery in Kerman.

The Wednesday attack, which occurred during a gathering marking the fourth anniversary of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani's martyrdom, resulted in the loss of at least 84 lives and left 220 people injured.

Two strong bomb blasts, ten minutes apart, struck near the burial site of the revered Iranian commander, causing widespread devastation and sorrow.
