Persepolis Defender Gvelesiani A Doubt for Tehran Derby
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team iconic defender Giorgi Gvelesiani may not be fit for the match against Esteghlal.
The Tehran derby will be held at the Azadi Stadium on March 13.
The Georgian defender missed the match against Naft Gachsaran in the Hazfi Cup and will be out against Foolad, slated for Friday.
Gvelesiani has suffered a hamstring injury and traveled to Georgia for recovery.
He will likely miss the match against Esteghlal.
