Transit of Goods via Iran Rises 56.5% in 2-Month Period

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The transit of goods through the Iranian land and territory in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20- May 20) registered a 56.5 percent hike compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Some 3.641 million tons of goods were transited from the country in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year.

In this period, more than 1 million tons of goods were transited from the origin of the Parvizkhan Customs, accounting for a 29.5 percent share among customs offices in the country.

Some 893,000 tons and 474,000 tons of goods were transited from the origin of the Shahid Rajaei and Bashmaq customs offices respectively.

In this timespan, the largest amounts of the transited goods were registered from the origin of customs offices of Piranshahr, Sarakhs and Parvizkhan, respectively.
