IRGC Quds Force Chief Eulogizes Amirabdollahian’s Pro-Resistance Efforts

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Quds Force Brigadier General Esmaeil Qaani paid tribute to late Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian for his fruitful activities in support of the resistance front and Palestinian people.

General Esmaeil Qaani paid a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran on Tuesday to commemorate the late foreign minister who passed away in a helicopter crash along with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on May 19.

In a meeting with Caretaker Foreign Minister Ali Baqeri, the commander lauded the efforts of the late minister in organizing and supporting the diplomacy of the resistance movement and the oppressed people of Palestine.

For his part, the acting minister said resistance is not merely a movement against oppression, aggression, and occupation, but a successful model of effective governance.

A helicopter carrying President Raisi and his entourage crashed in northwestern mountainous forests on May 19.

The crash killed President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian, Friday prayers leader of Tabriz Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Al-e-Hashem, Governor of East Azarbaijan Malek Rahmati, the commander of the president’s security team, two pilots and a flight crew.
