Two Terrorists Killed in Major Police Operation in Southeast Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Commander of law enforcement in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Balouchestan province announced Thursday that two key operatives of the Jaish al-Adl (aka Jaish al-Dhulm) terrorist group were killed in a recent major operation carried out by the provincial police forces.

Speaking at an exhibition of terrorist weapons confiscated during the eleventh phase of the "Ra’ad Operation" in Sistan and Balouchestan province, Brigadier General Doust Ali Jalilian highlighted a coordinated series of operations that began earlier this week. These operations were part of the eleventh phase of the Ra’ad Operation, which resulted in the arrest of 3,078 suspects throughout the province. Eight organized crime teams were dismantled, and two key Jaish al-Adl terrorists in the province were eliminated, he said.

"In this phase of the Ra’ad Operation, 82 military-grade weapons, including some heavy arms, were seized in the province," Jalilian added.

He highlighted ongoing efforts, stating that this week’s operations targeting drug traffickers, resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals. He said that more than 5.5 tons of various narcotics were seized and confiscated in the province, adding, “Under neighborhood-focused initiatives, 49 drug dealers were apprehended in various cities, and 707 drug addicts were handed over to relevant facilities."

Jalilian went on to say that during this phase of the Ra'ad Operation, 16 armed robbers and thugs were identified and arrested, and 67 smuggling vehicles were impounded.
