Hezbollah Launches Retaliatory Rocket Strike on Israeli Settlement
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted the Israeli settlement of Metzova with dozens of Grad rockets on Thursday, in response to the Zionist regime’s attack that targeted the southern town of Shama, where several civilians were martyred.
The resistance confirmed in a statement that the operation was carried out in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and in support of their resistance, Al Mayadeen reported.
The outskirts of the towns of Ramya and Aita al-Shaab were also shelled by Israeli artillery.
Israeli media reported that air raid sirens sounded in occupied Ras al-Naqoura, Shlomi, Hanita, Liman, and Metzova in the north, indicating that a rocket volley was launched from Lebanon towards the occupied Western Al-Jalil.
In parallel, Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese villages and towns continue, as the occupation's warplanes broke the sound barrier over the southern airspace, according to what Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in the south confirmed.
The Israeli artillery shelling targeted Wadi Hassan and the outskirts of the towns of Zebqin, Ramya, and Aita al-Shaab.
An Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of the village of Chamaa in southern Lebanon has killed four Syrian refugees and injured several others, a Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Thursday.
The ministry added that five Lebanese citizens were also injured as a result of the strike.
