2024-25 IPL to Kick Off Thursday
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 24th edition of the Iran Professional League (IPL) will start on Thursday, with defending champion Persepolis meeting Zob Ahan in Arak.
Malavan will also host Gol Gohar and Esteghlal Khuzestan meet Aluminum in Ahvaz.
On Friday, Esteghlal will travel to Qazvin to play Shams Azar, Nassaji host Foolad, Sepahan meet Chadormalu in Isfahan, Mes play Tractor in Kerman, and Havadar host Kheybar in Tehran.
The Persian Gulf Pro League is the top men's professional football division of the Iranian football league system.
It is controlled by the Iran football federation and is contested by 16 teams over a 30-matchday period.
Each year, its top team becomes the Iranian football champion, and the two lowest finishers are relegated to the Azadegan League.
