Hosseinnezhad Scores As Makhachkala Beats Akhmat Grozny
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Makhachkala football team edged past Akhmat Grozny in Matchweek 5 of the 2024-25 Russian Premier League (RPL) Monday night.
Iranian winger Mohammad Javad Hosseinnezhad scored the late winner with three minutes remaining at the Anzhi Arena.
It was Makhachkala’s first win as the team had suffered two losses and had been held twice.
Makhachkala moved up to 11th place courtesy of the win in the 16-team RPL table.
