Iran Comes Fourth at 2024 CAFA U-17 Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran finished in fourth place in the 2024 CAFA U-17 Championship on Friday.
In the third-place match held at the Republican Central Stadium in Dushanbe, Iran and Tajikistan ended in a 1-1 draw in regular time and Abbas Chamanisn’s boys lost 4-2 in penalty shootout.
Iran had defeated Turkmenistan 6-1 in its opening match but lost to Uzbekistan 1-0 and failed to qualify for the final.
Uzbekistan will meet Afghanistan in the final match on Saturday.
