Iran to Endorse Any Truce Deal Acceptable to Hamas: Araqchi
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reaffirmed Tehran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance, saying Iran will endorse any agreement on ceasefire in Gaza that would be acceptable to Hamas.
In a telephone conversation, member of the Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya briefed the Iranian foreign minister on the course of negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli regime has killed over 40,000 Palestinians in the past 11 months.
The Hamas official also praised Iran’s unflagging support for the Palestinian cause and resistance in the struggle against the Zionist crimes.
For his part, Foreign Minister Araqchi stated that the new Iranian administration will vigorously continue to support the people of Palestine.
He also stated that Iran will endorse any agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza that would be acceptable to Hamas, the Palestinian people and the resistance groups.
Araqchi finally expressed confidence that the ultimate victory belongs to the people of Palestine.
At least 40,534 Palestinian people have been killed and 93,778 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023.
