Israeli Attacks Kill at Least 16 in Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have claimed the lives of at least 16 people since dawn, as medical sources and local reports detail the ongoing Israeli genocide.
Ten bodies were recovered from the southern cities of Khan Younis and Rafah and were brought to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, as reported by local correspondents.
Earlier, it was reported that one person had been killed in an Israeli artillery shelling in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that an additional 33 Palestinians were killed in continuous Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll since October 7 to 40,819.
The ministry's statement further noted that approximately 94,291 people have been injured in the ongoing assaults.
"Israeli forces killed 33 people and injured 67 others in three 'massacres' of families in the last 24 hours," the ministry stated.
"Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them," it added.
Israel has continued its offensive on Gaza despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, drawing widespread international condemnation.
Nearly 11 months into the Israeli war, large portions of Gaza have been reduced to ruins amid a crippling blockade on food, clean water, and medicine.
Israel is currently facing genocide accusations at the International Court of Justice, which has ordered a halt to military operations in Rafah, where over one million Palestinians had sought refuge before the area was invaded on May 6.
