Iraqi Resistance Group Launches Drone Strike on Haifa

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iraqi resistance fighters launched a drone attack on the Port of Haifa in northern Israeli occupied territories, targeting a strategic location in response to the Zionist regime's ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.

Fighters of Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the drone strike on the Port of Haifa in a statement published on their Telegram channel on Wednesday morning.

The group stated that the attack was conducted using a squadron of kamikaze drones and was part of their ongoing struggle against Israeli regime, in support of Palestinians in Gaza.

The statement emphasized that the strike was in retaliation for massacres committed by the Israeli regime against women, children, and the elderly in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has vowed to continue targeting and destroying critical Israeli infrastructure across the occupied territories.

This latest attack follows a previous drone strike on Sunday, which the group also claimed responsibility for, targeting a "vital installation" in the same port.

The coalition stated that these attacks are in direct response to Israel's brutal military campaign in Gaza and are aimed at supporting the Palestinian people.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been carrying out attacks on Israeli targets since the start of the war in early October. The group has also targeted US military bases in Iraq and Syria, citing Washington's support for Israel as the reason for their actions.

According to reports, the ongoing Israeli war has resulted in the deaths of at least 40,819 Palestinians, the majority of whom were women and children, with another 94,291 injured. Over 1.7 million people have been internally displaced due to the Israeli airstrikes.
