2024 Paralympic Games: Rostami Wins Gold at Powerlifting
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian powerlifter Rouhollah Rostami claimed the second consecutive Paralympic gold with a 242kg lift at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
He also broke the world record in the Men's up to 80kg.
Xiaofei Gu of China won the silver with 225kg and the bronze medal went to Iraqi athlete Rasool Mohsin with 215kg.
Shooter Sareh Javanmardi, shot putter Amir Hossein Alipour and javelin thrower Saeid Afrouz had previously won three gold medals for Iran in the 2024 Paralympic Games.
