Iran’s Khuzestan Exports over $3 Billion Non-Oil Goods in H1

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The observer of Khuzestan Customs said over 10.46 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $3.684 billion, were exported from the southwestern Iranian province in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2024).

The export of non-oil goods from borders of this province registered an 8 and a 40 percent growth in weight and value, respectively compared to the same period last year, Behrouz Gharehbeygi said.

He went on to say that 7.61 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $4.164 billion, were imported via this province between March 21 and September 21, 2024, showing a 13 percent growth in weight compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Ghareybeygi added that the revenues of the customs offices of the province hit $91,687, showing a five percent growth compared to a year earlier, IRNA reported.

More than 3 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at over $1 billion, were exported to neighboring Iraq in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, showing a 25 and a 168 percent growth in weight and value, respectively compared to the same period last year, he added.
