Aluminum Earns Big Win over Foolad: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Aluminum football team defeated Foolad 4-2 in Matchday 8 of the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) Sunday night.
In the match, held in Arak’s Imam Khomeini Stadium, Amin Kazemian opened the scoring for the host in the 17th minute from the spot but Ehsan Pahlevan and Sasan Ansari were on target for Foolad in the 42nd and 44th minutes.
Aref Haji Eydi equalized the match in the 53rd minute and Kazemian once again was on target in the 67th minute from the spot. Rahman Jafari made the scoreboard 4-2 in the 73rd minute.
Aluminum moved up to sixth place with 12 points, four points behind leader Sepahan.
Foolad remained fourth with 14 points.
