Hezbollah Reports Heavy Losses Inflicted on Israeli Forces in Recent Clashes

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a series of successful operations over the past four days, resulting in significant losses for Israeli forces, including the deaths of 90 soldiers, 750 injured personnel, and the destruction of several military vehicles and tanks.

According to a statement from Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance group carried out operations based on precise intelligence, thwarting Israeli attempts to penetrate Lebanon’s southern border regions. The statement detailed extensive damage inflicted on Israeli forces along multiple fronts, preventing them from securing control in contested areas.

The resistance group reported that Israeli soldiers suffered “painful losses” along the battle lines, extending deep into occupied territories.

Hezbollah emphasized that resistance fighters had conducted 48 operations last Friday alone, marking the highest number of attacks in a single day since the launch of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation last year.

Ground Operations

In recent days, Israeli forces have made several attempts to penetrate villages along the southern Lebanon border and seize control of key areas, according to Hezbollah. However, resistance fighters successfully blocked these efforts across multiple operational axes. Hezbollah described fierce battles along five key operational axes:

First Axis: Along the operational zone of Israel’s 146th Division, spanning from Naqoura in the west to Marwahin in the east, Israeli forces tried to enter villages such as Marwahin, Al-Dhahira, Yarin, and Ma'tmura to plant explosives and block Hezbollah ambushes. Resistance fighters repelled the attacks and inflicted heavy losses on Israeli troops near Marwahin, forcing the 146th Division to reduce its personnel.

Second Axis: Hezbollah ambushed Israeli soldiers from the 36th Division near Aita al-Shaab and Abu Al-Leen Heights on Thursday morning, killing five and injuring dozens. Additional Israeli units attempting to advance towards Aytroun were blocked by repeated rocket and mortar attacks.

Third Axis: Hezbollah targeted Israeli tanks and troops from the 91st Division near Blida and Al-Houla, luring them into an ambush in eastern Al-Houla, where guided missiles destroyed multiple Merkava tanks and killed several soldiers.

Fourth Axis: The 98th Division attempted to advance from Markaba toward the occupied village of Ghajar but was repelled by Hezbollah forces. Israeli troops gathering at key points, including the Fatima Gate and Kfar Kila, came under repeated attacks from resistance fighters.

Fifth Axis: Along the operational zone of Israel’s 210th Division, extending from Ghajar to the Shebaa Farms, Hezbollah fighters prevented Israeli forces from advancing into Kafr Shuba and Shebaa. Unable to secure the high ground, Israeli troops set fire to dry fields to prevent ambushes by Hezbollah fighters.

Hezbollah's command center reported that, despite Israeli efforts, no Lebanese border village had fallen under Israeli control as of the time of the statement.

Missile and Drone Operations

Hezbollah’s missile units targeted Israeli troop concentrations and military bases along the border and deep inside occupied territories, including Tel Aviv. The group said to have conducted 103 missile strikes over the past four days, some reaching 145 kilometers into Israeli territory, with several precision-guided missiles deployed for the first time.

Additionally, Hezbollah’s drone units targeted military installations along the Lebanon-Israel border. The group claimed 65 drone operations since mid-September, 30 of which took place in the past few days.

Air Defense Operations

Hezbollah’s air defense forces reported firing five surface-to-air missiles between October 24 and 28, deterring Israeli fighter jets from entering Lebanese airspace.

Summary of Losses

Hezbollah stated that since the start of Israel’s ground operation in southern Lebanon, 90 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 750 injured. The resistance group has also destroyed 38 Merkava tanks, four military bulldozers, a Hummer vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, and three Hermes 450 drones, along with one Hermes 900 drone.

The statement concluded that these figures do not account for additional damage inflicted on Israeli military bases, camps, and settlements inside occupied territories.
