Israeli Forces, Settlers Intensify Attacks across Occupied West Bank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli military forces and settlers have escalated their violence across the occupied West Bank, conducting raids, making arrests, and causing widespread property damage, as reported by Palestinian sources and verified by international agencies.

Footage shared by Palestinian social media and confirmed by Al Jazeera’s Sanad agency shows Israeli military vehicles entering the city of el-Bireh in the occupied West Bank.

The raid on el-Bireh follows a violent attack by Israeli settlers, who reportedly set fire to Palestinian property in the area.

Wafa, the Palestinian news agency, reported that Israeli forces arrested a young man during a raid in Nablus and detained two others in Beit Ummar, Hebron (al-Khalil) governorate, after ransacking several homes.

Raids also extended to various towns and villages in the Qalqilya governorate, including Sanniriya, where soldiers reportedly fired stun grenades, causing distress among residents.

Israeli settlers also set multiple Palestinian vehicles ablaze in el-Bireh, according to Wafa.

Meanwhile, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has shared a photograph on social media showing their "Stop the Bleeding" training program in the Nur Shams refugee camp, Tulkarem governorate.

"Women learned how to care for wounds, apply tourniquets, and provide basic first aid to family members and neighbors until medical help arrives during Israeli military incursions," MSF stated.

Israeli forces have frequently restricted Palestinian access to healthcare facilities in the occupied West Bank, especially during raids, worsening conditions for the injured.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society reports that Israeli forces have detained over 11,500 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October of the previous year.

Settler violence has surged since October 7, 2023, with data from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs documenting at least 1,423 incidents over the past year—averaging four incidents daily.

The Ramallah and el-Bireh governorate recorded the highest number of settler attacks, with 321 incidents, followed by 319 in Nablus and 298 in Hebron.
