Taremi Assists As Inter Reaches Italian Cup Quarters
TEHRAN (Tasnim)- A much-changed Inter Milan side eased to a 2-0 victory over Udinese in the Italian Cup on Thursday.
Marko Arnautovic opened the scoring in the 30th minute with an assist from Mehdi Taremi. Kristjan Aslani sealed the win with a goal in the second minute of first-half stoppage time.
Taremi came close to adding his name to the scoresheet in the second half but hit the post. Earlier, Inter had an awarded penalty overturned after a VAR review.
With this victory, Inter Milan advances to the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup, where they will face Lazio.
