Iran’s Araqchi Visits UAE
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araqchi had a meeting with his Emirati counterpart during a layover in Dubai while he was returning to Tehran after an official visit to China.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in an X post on Sunday that Araqchi has made a short stay in Dubai on his way back to Tehran from China.
The spokesperson noted that the Iranian foreign minister has visited Dubai at the invitation of his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan “for an overview of the latest developments across the region.”
During his first official visit to a country outside the region as the foreign minister of Iran, Araqchi met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Saturday.
