Yemen Says Missiles Penetrated Israeli-Occupied Airspace Undetected
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Yemen's deputy information minister announced on Tuesday that missiles fired by its armed forces reached Israeli airspace without interception.
Nasruddin Amer confirmed the missile strike following an operation by Yemeni forces against Israel. He stated that Yemen's attacks will persist as long as Israel continues its operations in Gaza.
"The occupied territories and the Zionist regime won't see security as long as Gaza is insecure," he warned.
The Israeli military reported intercepting a ballistic missile launched from Yemen late Monday, triggering sirens across central Israel.
While Israel claimed there was no major damage, a large fragment of the missile reportedly crashed in the Ramat Beit Shemesh Alef neighborhood near al-Quds.
Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, reaffirmed Yemen's stance, saying on X, “The pounding of the entity (Israel) continues and the support to Gaza continues.”
Since Israel's Gaza onslaught began on October 7, 2023, Yemen has expressed strong support for Palestine, with Yemeni forces targeting various sites across the occupied territories.
In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has fired at Israeli ships in the southern Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and even the Arabian Sea. The ongoing Israeli genocidal war has resulted in the deaths of at least 45,541 Palestinians.
