Iran Defeats Uzbekistan in 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Uzbekistan 2-1 in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup China 2025 Group C tie at the Shenzhen Youth Football Training Base Pitch 1 on Wednesday.
Iran, who had previously defeated Indonesia and Yemen, will meet the runner-up of Group D in the quarter-finals while defending champion Uzbekistan will play the top team.
Yousef Mazraeh scored Iran’s first goal in the 52nd minute and Esmaeil Gholizadeh doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 64th minute.
Muhammadali Urinboev pulled a goal back in the 69th minute.
