Funakoshi Has Full Faith in Japan’s U-20 Ability
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Japan U-20 head coach Yuzo Funakoshi has full faith in his team’s ability when they play Iran at the AFC U-20 Asian Cup China 2025 quarter-final.
The winner will advance to a semi-final against either Australia or Iraq, with victory also confirming its ticket to the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025.
“Iran will be a tough opponent, it is physically imposing, technically strong and dangerous in the air, especially with their long balls,” said Funakoshi.
“It will be a challenging match, but we are focused on playing our way. We believe in our style, and we’ll be aiming for the win,” Funakoshi added.
