Iran, Qatar Discuss Enhancement of Relations

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – During a visit to Qatar, an Iranian deputy foreign minister weighed plans to promote cooperation between Tehran and Doha.

In a post on his X account, Iranian deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, gave a report of his recent visit to Doha.

“In a one-day visit to Qatar, I met with Ms. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held talks on the relations and cooperation between the two countries, exploring ways to develop and strengthen the ties, as well as addressing several mutual interests,” he said.

“During the visit, I also toured Qatar’s National Human Rights Committee and held discussions with its president and secretary general to exchange experiences between the human rights institutions of both countries,” Gharibabadi added.
