Israeli Assaults on Gaza Draw Iran’s Condemnation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s ministry of foreign affairs strongly condemned a spate of air raids by the Zionist regime of Israel against the Gaza Strip.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham on Thursday lashed out at the Zionist regime of Israel for the “brutal attacks” on the besieged Gaza Strip.

She said such violent Israeli strikes on the vulnerable residents of Palestine signal the Zionists’ inability to deal with the Islamic resistance movement.

“There is no doubt that the Zionist terrorists’ move will steel the Palestinian nation’s resolve in the all-out resistance to liberate the whole occupied territories and rebuff the mirage of the West-brokered reconciliation,” Afkham pointed out.

Her comments came after the Israeli fighter jets struck several targets in the city of Rafah, situated 30 kilometers (19 miles) south of Gaza City, injuring several Palestinians.

Israeli warplanes hit several locations in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. There were no reports of casualties.

On Tuesday, at least three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern Gaza Strip. The Islamic Jihad said in a statement that the three killed were members of the movement, and an Israeli assassination drone targeted them as they “resisted an Israeli military incursion” into Rafah city.
