South Korea Defeats Iran at AVC Cup for Women
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – South Korea defeated Iran in straight sets (25-11, 25-11, 25-13) on the opening day of the 4th AVC Cup for Women on Saturday.
The match held at the Shenzhen Universiade Center Indoor Stadium in Shenzhen.
The competition began on September 6 and will finish on September 12 in Shenzhen, China.
Iran is in Pool A along with host China, South Korea and Vietnam.
Pool B consists of Thailand, Japan, Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei.
Iran is scheduled to face China on Sunday.
The AVC Cup for Women is one important competition of AVC, being held every two years.
The tournament this year is also a Qualification Tournament for 2015 World Grand Prix.
