General Soleimani Briefs Iran’s Top Clerics on Regional Developments
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qassem Soleimani on Tuesday briefed members of Iran’s Assembly of Experts on the latest developments across the region, a member of the assembly announced.
Hojatoleslam Seyed Mojtaba Taheri told Tasnim that the top general gave a report on the ongoing circumstances in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, the plots hatched by the US and the enemies of Islam, as well as the presence of the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in the region.
Major General Soleimani also told the assembly about the current status of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Muslim world, Taheri said.
According to the Assembly of Experts member, the IRGC Quds Force commander has announced that Iran’s “spiritual influence” in the region has strengthened the axis of resistance, something that has challenged the US, Israel and their allies.
Iran’s Assembly of Experts convened its 18th meeting in Tehran today. It is a high-ranking body of experts which elects and oversees the activities of the leader of the Islamic Revolution.
