Tractor Sazi Defeats Paykan in Iran Professional League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor Sazi of Tabriz football team edged past Paykan in Iran Professional League (IPL) to close the gap on leader Persepolis.
Mohammad Ebrahimi scored the only goal of the match in the 74th minute.
Also, Esteghlal defeated Sanat Naft 3-0 in Iran's southern port city of Abadan.
Mojtaba Haghdoust opened the scoring for the visiting team in the 30th minute.
Behnam Barzay was on target in the 56th minute and Majid Hosseini made it 3-0 six minutes later.
Rock-bottom teams Machine Sazi and Sab drew 0-0.
On Monday, Persepolis will host Gostaresh Foolad, Zob Ahan meet Foolad, Saipa face Siahjamegan, Padideh host Naft Tehran and Esteghlal Khuzestan meet Sepahaan.
