IWF Youth World Championships: Iran’s Roshani Claims Bronze
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohammadreza Roshani from Iran took a bronze medal in the 2017 IWF Youth World Championships on Monday.
In the +94kg weight category, Roshani finished in third place with a total of 347kg.
Kanstantsin Kurouski from Belarus won the gold medal after lifting 360kg in total.
Russian Dmitrii Gogichaev seized the silver medal with 352kg in total.
Iran’s Mahdi Papi had already won a bronze medal in the 85kg weight class.
The 2017 IWF Youth World Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand from April 3 to 10.
A total of 445 weightlifters from more than 50 countries participated in the competitions.
