Iran U-20 Futsal Team Qualifies for Summer Youth Olympics
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran emerged victorious in a tough match against host Thailand to book a place in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics as the 2017 AFC U-20 Futsal Championship finalists.
Iran defeated Thailand 7-5 in Bangkok’s Indoor Stadium Huamark on Wednesday.
The Iranian team will face the winner of Uzbekistan and Iraq match in the final on Friday.
The tournament will serve as qualifying for the futsal tournament at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, with the winner and the runner-up qualifying for the boys' tournament, where they will be represented by their U-18 representative teams.
