Esteghlal Suffers Second Successive Loss in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal of Tehran football team suffered its second defeat in a row in the Iran Professional League on Tuesday.
In the match held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, left-footed Mohammad Ghazi fired past Mehdi Rahmati in the 15th minute.
Hossein Mehraban extended the visiting team’s lead in the 72nd minute.
Esteghlal had lost to Saipa 1-0 last week.
Furthermore, Tractor Sazi earned its second victory in a row after suffering three defeats.
The Tabriz-based team defeated its host Saipa 2-0.
Sanat Naft drew 2-2 with Zob Ahan and Sepahan played out a goalless draw against Sepidrood Rasht.
