Iran Water Polo Team Loses to Russia: Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s water polo team lost to Russia 14-7 in a friendly match in Tehran on Saturday.
The Russian and Iranian teams are holding a one-week joint training camp in Tehran.
The match was held as part of preparation for the Water Polo World Cup 2025 Men's Division 2 tournament.
Team Melli is Group A along with South Africa, and Ukraine.
Two teams from Division 2 will qualify for the Water Polo World Cup 2025—Super Final.
The tournament will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from December 18 to 21.
