IWBF Asia Oceania Championships: Iran into Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Japan 80-76 on Friday to book a place at the 2017 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships final.
The Iranian team, who has already qualified for the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships, will face Australia on Saturday in the final match.
Iran lost to Australia 78-60 in the previous edition’s final math and it’s a chance for the Persian to take revenge on their powerhouse rival.
Iran has defeated Saudi Arabia 85-31, New Zealand 91-15, Thailand 89-62, China 86-45 and Japan 80-76 so far in the competition underway in Beijing, China.
The IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships set to take place in Hamburg, Germany next year.
