Syria, Energy Cooperation High on Putin's Agenda in Trip to Iran: Kremlin

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss the ongoing Syrian crisis and energy cooperation with Iranian top authorities when he visits Tehran Wednesday, the Kremlin said Tuesday.

"Syria-related issues will be on the agenda of the Russian-Iranian bilateral talks," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a conference call with reporters, Reuters reported.

Putin will also hold trilateral talks with Rouhani and lham Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan, during his working visit to Tehran, he added.

On November 23, 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Iranian capital. During his trip, he met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei shortly after arrival in Tehran.
