Iran’s Morteza Sharifi Linked with Italy’s Latina
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national volleyball team outside spiker Morteza Sharifi has been linked with a move to Italian team Top Volley Latina.
Sharifi has stolen the show during the 2018 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) with Team Melli.
Top Volley Latina is a professional volleyball team based in Latina, Italy. The club plays in Serie A1 of the Italian Volleyball League.
It is going to sign the 19-year-old Iranian player on a two-year contract.
Erik Shoji, Nicolas Le Goff, Cristian Savani and Gabriele Maruotti are members of the Italian team.
The Italian Male Volleyball League is structured in several levels of importance; the highest of them is Serie A1.
Since early 1980s, many among the best volleyball players in the world play in Serie A1 and the overall level of competition is considerably high.
